First thing in the morning, I went b-balling with some friends of mine from M'sia. Its kinda weird nowadays that i've been playing basketball than i ever did in Kuching. Life overseas changes some things i guess.
On to other stuff....it's another 2 weeks to Easter and here its not Easter unless the supermarkets are more or less filled with choc eggs.

The M'sian gang.. (Two from Kuching and the rest from West M'sia)

Chocs..

A giant bunny.
Then it was off to the city to do the usual window shopping down the streets. Lots of people were as usual doing their last few shopping sprees of the summer. Weather was hot, though it was about 24 degrees here in the city. It all got hotter when I spotted a Lambo Gallardo cruising on the road next to me driven by a posh couple. Its surprising that for a supercar, the Gallardo hardly makes any noise as it goes by ( I was standing two feet away) Man, the closest thing you come to seeing these things in Kuching or even Malaysia is whether a rich datuk's son decides to get one or not. Of course its not just Lambos that are usually sighted in Auckland, but there were also plenty of different Porsches here and there. Cars are way cheaper here with lesser taxes being paid, so a Gallardo costs as less as 110,000 dollars compared to about 2.2 million ringgit at home.

The Actual Thing

A class of its own.. (i think the owner sorta parked it whererever he felt like,
coz it wasnt a valid parking spot)

The Hilton Hotel, a building shaped like a ship on the edge of the harbour.
Famous people around the world have stayed here, i just don't know who exactly..
It doesn't look like it, but this is the best spot to see plenty of awesome cars that you can only
dream of owning..

Weekends here involve different activities for different people. For those posh people who own luxurious apartments right above the Weekends involve different activities for different people. For those posh people who own luxurious apartments right above the cafes, weekends usually consist of lounging at expensive restaurants right next to the harbour, drinking beers or espressos depending on the weather.. Other people usually have a typical Kiwi weekend, where they take their boats they own and head out to fish or scuba-dive.

Cafe..

There was a boat fest going at the harbour which is the equivalent of a car show where the people go around viewing boats and if they see one they like they just get it. A boat is like the next important thing to get compared to a car for a kiwi bloke. Just goes to show how sweet their life can be here
